BLOG 6: ENGLISH LANGUAGE CHALLENGES

Hi everyone, today I am going to write my last blog fot this semester about the English language challenges. Personally, I understand the intention at university to look at political issues in class but I think it is not ideal for learning a new language that one did not to choose learn. I also believe that it makes it difficult to understand the topics and consequently can loose the interest. This is the reason why I believe that English class could be taught with more interesting and fun topics to learn, like as the celebrity interviews we saw in class. In addition, I believe that blogs are a different way of learning but I think it might be a bit tedious to have to write so many blogs. There could also be a blog with a free theme so that we can write whatever we want. For me, studying English online or in person is similar but the important thing was that we had the opportunity to practice every week. BLOG 5: CHANGES TO MY STUDY PROGRAM

 Hello everyone, I hope you are well. Today, I am going to write to you about the changes I would make in my career and in the infrastructure of the university.  Personally, I can only talk about the social work career and the Juan Gomez Milla campus. The truth is that I like my career very much but there are always things that can be improved. For me, the curriculum would be better if it had more practical focus and not limited only to the theoretical. Also, I think there should be more focus on social work in the first years of my career because they prioritize the degree in social sciences in a more investigative way than social work. Regarding the workload in my career, for me it is fine but I do think that the duration of the studies is longer than necessary and could be shortened.  About the facilities of the faculty, I don't know much to say because I don't know it very well, maybe it would be good to improve the distribution of the space and have more shade. ...

BLOG 4: POST-GRADUATE STUDIES

Hi everyone, today I'm going to explain about what I think about post-graduate studies. For me, the opportunity to study a Master's Program at the university in less time is one of the reasons why I chose the University of Chile. In this university, we can have the undergraduate and the Master in six years instead of the other univerties where you need seven years to have the career and the Master.  Personally, I haven't thought about study an other career yet but if I do I would like have to a related with the chilhood or a career related with the nature.  The subjects I like to study are about the history of social work in Chile and South America, inequality system, capitalism and Marxism, economy, concepts like democracy.  As I say in others blogs, I would like to study a Master's Program in Spain because I love this country and I have many friends who study in Madrid or in Barcelona. BLOG 3: MY DREAM JOB

Hi eveyone, today I'm going to talk about my dream job. In my case, my dream job is to work as a social worker in the Sename, this is because I love kids but I am not a good teacher. Also, I find it very interesting to analyse the power relations and the structural inequalities imposed in the system.  With this, I would also like to contribute to the creation of public policies especially in the feminist matters. I imagine this job very exhausting and stressful while it is being carried out because there will inevitably be a shortage of resources that will make it difficult to move forward with projects. But when a project is completed, you should feel good about it.  This work requires perseverance and a desire to bring about change. About the salary, I don't study this career to have a lot of money, it's not something I care about, but I guess it will be around 1 million  Chilean pesos.  I like to study at the University of Chile mainly because of its politica...

BLOG 2: THE BEST VACATION EVER

Hello everyone, in this second blog I am going to tell you about my best vacation ever. Actually it is difficult for me to say which are my favorite vacations because as I am a scout, every year (before the pandemic) I had summer camps where we go to the south of chile for two weeks. For this blog I am going to talk about my last summer camp which took place in January 2020. That summer we went with my scout group to Neltume. Neltume is characterized by having the coldest river of all the camps I've had. But also, has a large forest and plenty of space to do many activities. As it was very hot that summer, we did a lot of water games, we had night activities, every night we danced and sang around a campfire while cooking. Definitely my best friends are in scouting and the best memories in camps. I laughed a lot and since it was the last camp I had, I remember it fondly. Thanks for reading!

Blog 1: A country I would like to visit

 Hi every one, today I am going to talk about a country I would like to visit. For me, the country I most want to visit is Spain. I chose Spain because I have a friend who lives in this country. She talks to me about how is live there and for me thats is very interesting. She talks to me about the food, their stores, their cities and about the people who live there. It is very funny how the accent of the Spanish changes acording to their city. In addition, I love movies ands series from to Spain. This affection comes from childhood when once a year my grandfather (who is Spannish) and me, watched Spannish movies after eating "paella" in his house.  Finally, I want to live and study in this country and then work was an a social worker. I would also like to travel to other countries in Europa and visit nearby countries. Thanks for reading my blog
